The 2021 Cinsault’s color is almost crystalline in the glass.  The aromas are expansive and diverse: red raspberry and cherry, orange zest, tapenade and fresh herbs.  The palate is lush, with mouthwatering fruit intermingling with salinity, white pepper and exotic spices.  The finish is deep and lengthy: minerality, sea salt, iodine and fresh raspberries ending on black tea and espresso.  Beautiful texture throughout.

The 2022 Fanatic continues the tradition of a 100% Albarino from Dutchman Vineyards. This higher elevation site cools down nicely at night, allowing the grapes to keep their trademark acidity profile. The acidity heightens the bright citrus and stone fruit aromas. On the palate, along with lemon and grapefruit notes, hints of peach and tropical fruit abound. The lengthy finish is rounded out by a touch of minerality with floral notes.

The 2022 Viognier is a versatile combination of expressive fruit, perky minerality and lush texture. The aromas are intense and complex: honeysuckle, jasmine, fresh peach, honeycomb, green papaya and slate. The palate is full and weighty, full-fruited with lemon zest, nectarine and raw honey leading into a lengthy, pith and mineral-driven finish.

The 2020 version of the Bos could be the best vintage yet.  Opaque, dark color hints at what’s in the glass: red and black cherries, blackberry bramble and dark chocolate intermix with baking spice and Eucalyptus.  The palate is sexy, silky and full-bodied but also fresh and refined with plenty of dark fruit, mouthcoating, plush tannins and a lengthy finish that goes on and on.  Yummy. 

The 2021 Boushey Vineyard Syrah is an absolutely massive wine; a fine example of the combination of power and grace that this superlative site is able to produce. It’s been aging for three years now, yet the wine is just starting to show its stuff: it’s already balanced and rich, but the emerging texture and complexity says that this baby will richly reward some patience in the cellar...or an hour or so in a decanter.
